Potential Hazards
Inhalation of fine fiber dust may cause irritation of the upper respiratory tract. Persons suffering from asthma or bronchitis are particularly susceptible to airborne fibers and dust.
First Aid Measures
Inhalation: After inhaling larger quantities of dust that may occur during processing, ensure a supply of fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Eyes: In case of eye irritation, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Firefighting Measures
- Avoid or remove airborne fibers.
- Keep away from ignition sources.
- Observe the effects of electrostatic charging.
Extinguishing Media
All standard extinguishing agents are suitable. Water is unsuitable if the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
During firefighting in enclosed areas, self-contained breathing apparatus must be used.
Handling and Storage
Airborne fibers and dust must be avoided through adequate extraction and ventilation. All containers must be stored in accordance with the relevant regulations and established best practices.
Keep away from open flames and ignition sources.
Exposure Control and Personal Protective Measures
When processing the product, ensure adequate extraction and ventilation. Personal protective equipment: respiratory protection. In the presence of high dust concentrations, a dust mask must be worn.
Processing of the fiber product should be carried out in accordance with the standard industrial hygiene guidelines applied in industrial practice.
Ecological and Toxicological Information
The fiber product consists of cellulose and is biologically degraded by microorganisms. Water hazard class: cotton fiber fillers are classified as non-hazardous to water according to VwVwS of 17 May 1999.
Cotton fiber fillers are considered toxicologically harmless.

Mixing of the filler with the respective resin or hardener system can be carried out manually or with slow-running propeller mixers. For larger batches, the use of a mechanical forced mixer or kneader is recommended.
The filler should be incorporated as the final component in the system to be produced. Short mixing times increase the amount of “survivors” in the system. All ceramic hollow microspheres are sensitive to shear impact stress. For dry mixtures, for example, Lödige mixers have proven to be very effective. In plasters, the plaster produced with the hollow microspheres can be easily pumped using Putzmeister or Knauf pumps.

Magnesium Silicate – FS 9 Thixotropic Agent
Product Description
Magnesium silicate FS 9 can be used to thicken various two-component synthetic resins at the workplace. Suitable for the production of filling and repair compounds, binders, and fillets. Magnesium silicate FS 9 can be stirred in without dust formation or lump formation.
Storage
The powder should be stored as dry as possible and in sealed containers. Opened containers must be closed again after use.
Processing
By adding 5 to 20 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the resin-hardener mixture, any desired consistency can be achieved. The practically non-dusting, lightweight powder can be easily incorporated manually with a spatula into liquid epoxy, polyurethane, and silicone resins without lump formation at the workplace.

Attention
Certain polyurethane systems are accelerated by magnesium silicate. Moisture-sensitive polyurethane systems may foam during curing. In unsaturated polyesters (UP systems), curing may be delayed or prevented by magnesium silicate.
Industrial Hygiene
When handling our reaction resins, the applicable industrial hygiene and legal regulations must be observed. In particular, contact with skin and eyes as well as the inhalation of vapors and dust must be avoided.
First Aid
If splashes of working materials accidentally enter the eyes, rinse immediately under running water for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. In all cases, seek medical attention.

Steel Powder – FS 90
Potential Hazards
Strong exothermic reaction of iron powder with aluminum, particularly the risk of a progressive glowing fire in mixtures of fine dust. Generation of hydrogen may occur under the influence of adhering acid residues, as well as rust formation under the influence of moisture with possible self-heating in the presence of air, especially in combination with oily or other combustible impurities (for example in empty silos).
Firefighting and Precautionary Measures
The powder can be extinguished with all common extinguishing agents such as water and sand. In closed containers, avoid the supply of air; if necessary, use nitrogen gas. Personal precautions: protective clothing, protective gloves, and safety goggles. Sensitive surfaces (for example cars) should be cleaned immediately.

Industrial Hygiene
When handling our products, the applicable industrial hygiene and legal regulations must be observed. In particular, contact with skin and eyes as well as inhalation must be avoided.
First Aid
If fine dust accidentally enters the eyes, rinse immediately under running water with the eyelid open for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Metal particles oxidize with the eye fluid and may then adhere firmly to the retina. In all cases, seek medical attention.
Wash dust from the skin and apply cleansing cream. No further measures are required. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.
In all cases of doubt: seek medical assistance.
