Methacrylate-based adhesive for lightly pre-treated surfaces
- Gap-filling
- Only minimal surface pre-treatment required
- Good adhesion properties on substrates that are otherwise difficult to bond
- High resistance over a wide temperature range
- Good adhesion even at low temperatures
Araldite® 2047-1 is a cold-curing two-component methacrylate-based adhesive for bonding metals and plastics. Depending on the processing method, Araldite® 2047-1 fills gaps with a width of approximately 5 mm. For many bonding applications, no elaborate pre-treatment of the parts to be bonded is necessary, or it can be reduced to a minimum. The adhesive can be processed at temperatures of up to 40°C. At these temperatures, the curing time is reduced.
